Two-headed snakes with blunt tails Snakes are non-venomous snakes. Because the price of the blunt-tailed two-headed snake is relatively high, it is included as one of the protected wild animals by the State Forestry Administration of China. The blunt-tailed two-headed snake does not actually have two heads, but the tail looks very similar.

The total length of the blunt-tailed two-headed snake is about 35cm. No internasal, buccal or temporal scales. There are 4 scales on the upper lip, 5 scales on the lower lip, 1 temporary scale, and 1 scale behind the eyes. The dorsal scales are smooth. 13 lines throughout. Anal scales complete. There are two rows of scales under the tail. The tail is thick and blunt, with yellow markings; the shape, thickness, and markings of the tail are similar to those of the head, and there are similar yellow markings. At first glance, it looks like a head at both ends.
